Dry season is the safest bet, but if you’re flexible and don’t mind the rain, wet season can feel like you’ve got the park all to yourself. From Surat Thani
Surat Thani is the main gateway to Khao Sok, especially if you’re arriving by train, bus, or ferry from the Gulf islands like Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, or Koh Tao. From Krabi

From Phuket
Coming from Phuket is a bit further but still doable in a few hours. Shared minivans are the most common option, costing around £25 for the 3 – 4 hour ride. You can book tickets through most accommodations or local travel agencies. If you’re on a tighter budget, head to Phuket’s main bus terminal and catch a local bus bound for Khao Sok. This option takes a bit longer but saves you some money costing aroung £9.
From Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, or Koh Tao
The Gulf islands are well-connected to Khao Sok thanks to combo tickets offered by ferry companies. Book a package that includes your ferry ride to Surat Thani and onward transport to Khao Sok. The trip takes around 6 – 8 hours and costs between 700–1,000 THB (£15 - £20) depending on the island and service provider. From Other Places in Southern Thailand
If you’re coming from smaller towns or other nearby areas, you’ll usually need to connect through Surat Thani, Krabi, or Phuket to find transport to Khao Sok.
Once You Arrive in Khao Sok
Most buses and minivans will drop you off at Khao Sok village, near the national park entrance.
